Herbal Medicine for Dogs
A lot of animals are Herbalists themselves. When your dog is feeling unwell or in pain they seek out certain herbs to make themselves feel better. You may have witnessed your dog or cat eating dandelion for its stomach soothing properties or parsley for its high vitamin C levels. This is not random in fact usually this behaviour is for their health benefit. Most pets (especially city dwellers) cannot access the range of vegetation they would have in the wild. This is when we can turn to prepared herbs as an alternative to modern medicine, because our pets were designed to be treated this way.
